Founded in 2019, Law City is dedicated to enhancing social mobility and promoting diversity and inclusion within the legal industry. We provide aspiring lawyers from underrepresented and low socio-economic backgrounds with access to vital information and opportunities by connecting them with legal professionals in the City of London.

Our initiatives include hosting events that allow students to network with top legal professionals, offering them unique insights into the industry. Additionally, we deliver interactive workshops designed to foster discussions, encourage diverse perspectives, and equip young people with the tools needed to develop and advance their legal careers. Through these efforts, we strive to create a more inclusive and equitable legal profession.

Matrix hosted a successful Law City Insight into Law event in January this year. Our Equality and Diversity Officer, Isabel Baylis, sat on the panel in a discussion on careers in the legal industry and I spoke about myself as Chief Executive of Matrix and my career journey.
At Matrix we were very happy to support Law City for this event as the organization plays an important role in helping students and young people gain a better understanding of different areas of law, as well as how to start a career in the legal industry
